This arrangement of the popular English folksong is for 12 trombones in a relaxed swing style. It was arranged for the trombone choir of Trinity College of Music, London.

Performance notes:

The first part has a short solo which can be improvised if desired.

Cup mutes, plungers and straight mutes are required in some parts Quavers are swung throughout.

Take a steady tempo so that the feel is relaxed and rhythmic and the bass trombone solo is practicable.

Take care to balance the various parts of the texture, particularly when there are no mutings to help.
